Growing up in the Highland area and later moving to Staunton has been such a wonderful adventure—one that’s helped me truly get to know all the surrounding towns and backroads throughout Bond, Madison, Macoupin, and Montgomery Counties.

I was raised on a dairy farm with my large, close-knit family, who have always been my biggest supporters—through school, 4-H, and now as I raise a family of my own. I met my husband, Steve, in high school, and we recently celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary! We moved to Staunton for that small-town lifestyle, and I fell in love all over again.

Today, we’re blessed with two beautiful daughters, Kara and Lexi, along with two energetic dogs and a pair of playful bunnies. In our spare time, our family enjoys camping, exploring new destinations, and renovating homes. Together, Steve and I own Brighten Up Properties, where we purchase, remodel, and manage rental and flip properties across the area.

I earned my degree in Elementary Education from Greenville College and spent several years teaching before becoming a substitute teacher for local schools. I’ve also been active as a Co-Leader for our local Girl Scout troop and have provided childcare for families in our community.
